New Delhi, India – WAVES 2025, a landmark four-day global summit uniting the worlds of media, content creation, and innovation, was officially inaugurated today by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The event is set to host over 10,000 delegates from more than 90 countries, including 1,000 creators, 350+ startups, and 300+ leading companies, making it one of the most significant gatherings of the global content economy.
With a packed agenda that includes 42 plenary sessions, 39 breakout sessions, and 32 masterclasses, WAVES 2025 spans a wide range of verticals: broadcasting, infotainment, digital media, film, and the AVGC-XR sector (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality).
The summit aims to foster cross-border collaboration, talent recognition, and innovation across digital and traditional platforms.
Notably, a strong Sri Lankan delegation of digital creators, storytellers, and entrepreneurs are participating in the summit, showcasing Sri Lanka’s rising influence in the global creative and digital ecosystem.
